Lunette AU

I have used my Lunette cup every month since I've received it. It's convenient and easy to use. There is some mess associated with changing it if I'm not in the shower, but that is the same with tampons. It is a little fiddly to clean it when changing it. I have been using my natural face cleanser to clean it when changing it, and boiling it in between uses. However I have been reading some press that hand washing the cups when changing them is not sufficient to get rid of all the bacteria which then raises your risk of TSS. It was suggested that you boil the cup each time you change it which I can tell you isn't going to happen! That's just not convenient for me. The other recommendation was to have two cups to change them over during the day and boil each one after every use. Still fairly inconvenient but my main issue with this is that it then becomes more expensive than using tampons for a whole year. So there are pros and cons of course. Some more information about the risks of using the cup for 12 hours at a time is needed. I also have a clear cup which is pretty stained. Not a big deal. Those are my concerns but I'm still using it!

I love the idea of lunette but I’m still trying to get it to work for me. It’s pretty comfortable once I had cut the tail off, barely even notice it’s there. But I still find that I leak so there’s obviously a technique to it that I haven’t mastered yet.

It’s great although I’m still working out how it works. I find I have to wear a liner just in case as sometimes it leaks through

Great concept. Improves period pain. More convenient. Better for environment and monthly budget. Tricky to get used to but persevering. Finding leaking at night a problem.

VERY SORE AND CRAMPY NEED MORE PRACTICE AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE OK
