No more plastic!!!!
I gave it 5 stars because the thought of using plastics that will be polluting our planet for hundreds of years after I'm dead is a disgusting display of shortsightedness ignoring the future health of our planet. With the hippy stuff out of the way I'm a guy who needs to shave his face for work (respirator) and as an athlete also shaves his legs for deep tissue massages.
With the wide blade spacing it's nearly impossible to clog the head of this razor. So if you let your hair grow out a little long you won't need to constantly be flushing out a clogged razor head with tightly packed blades. With all three blades in you get a nice close shave albeit with a little more irritation than typical cartridge blades. If you remove the first blade and only use the top two blades it glides with zero irritation but the shave is slightly less close. Personally leaving the first blade out works perfect for me and you can still get a close smooth shave with a few more passes if you choose. The blades are great, no tug and pull and they last as long as anything from the major shave brands. Another bonus is you can find a wide variety of double edge safety razor blades to try out and find something you like to load in the leaf handle.
To the negatives. The worst one for me is the handle is impossible to hold onto if there's even a small amount of soap on your hand or the handle. It's fine with a quick rinse but some sort of rubber on the handle would be excellent. A more minor issue for me is the large plate after the trailing blade means you can't get a close shave under your nose. Easy fix is to pull across your upper lip to get the hair up close under your nose. Getting the Twig shaver would be much better for fine trimming under the nose or sideburns.
Overall this razor still gives me a great shave and I'm glad to be done with plastic disposable cartridges.
