I have a cat with ongoing health issues that seem to be caused by chronic stress. She is extremely high-strung so I’ve been at a loss as to how to give her any long-term relief. The vets had her on heavy-duty prescriptions for a while (steroids+opioids+anti-inflammatory) which worked great, but they come with their own side effects and health issues. After her last batch of medicine ran out all of her issues returned. I’d already spent thousands at the vet only to be told they have no idea what is going on, and to refer me to an even more expensive specialty vet. At this point I was desperate to find an alternative, or at least find something to keep my cat comfortable and relatively symptom-free until I could afford the specialty vet. I decided to try CBD as a last resort, and I’m so glad I did. It’s not perfect, she still has mild symptoms here and there, and I have to give it to her 2-3 throughout the day, but it really does help! I think it’s giving her sensitive nervous system a break. She acts more like her sweet, playful self when on it, which tells me the CBD greatly helps her discomfort. She’s also extremely sensitive to tastes and smells, so I was worried she wouldn’t eat it, but she’s fine with the oil placed on her food or treats. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart, Ananda!!
