The front plate opens smoothly, the pawls are so lightly spring loaded that it makes climbing a breeze even with little or no rope weight below the device. I find that getting out of the device is super smooth and much easier than a traditional chest ascender. The price was unbeatable. I saved roughly 20% off MSRP. Overall I’m very pleased.
