Tags are nice - good support. Have about 7 of them, very easy to setup and get going.

I'm using a variety of tags and find them convenient and accurate. Battery life could always be a little better but they do last about 6 months (shorter if in a freezer) and they now have an external extended battery option. The Kumo apps are easy to construct; my tags write updates to a home automation controller for reporting and control purposes, but I like the mobile app as well for the graphs/trending data. Great for monitoring whether the freezer door has been left open, when someone opens our man-door, keeping watch over a humidor, temps at a remote summer home, etc. Very handy.

Super, reliable… I’ve been using these tags now for 5 years to control all aspects of my home (heating, garden, pool management). Excellent interface to my iPhone so I can see all readings at a glance. Set-up has loads of options (too many - it’s a bit nerdy, but don’t let that put you off).

I've used wireless tags for several years. I have a a tag manager at my home and at a vacation property. I started with lots of tags monitoring temp. and humidity at the vacation property, which is unused through the Canadian winter and tags in fridge and freezer in each location. Everything worked well. Over time batteries ran out and I didn't replace them quickly or at all. Eventually all tags went off line and the monitoring stopped. This is more about the level of attention that I'm prepared to give to this application than to the tags themselves. I've recently bought some external power sensors and the building temp. and humidity is running again. This format works better for me. I'm probably going to buy some water sensors - disposable with a multi-year life. I like the UI. I use it mostly on my Windows laptop computer. In spite of my experience with batteries I'd say that this is an excellent product. It does everything that it says it will. The packaging is fantastic. Going forward, I'm planning for Z-wave door locks. I'd like to see an integration path.
