SpringWell Water Filtration Systems

We are on city water, but the hardness level is very high (10 grains). After looking at a wide range of competitive products, I chose the Springwell Water Filter + Salt-Free Water softener combo. Our plumbing is routed to both internal and external spigots and valves, so a salt-based solution wasn't practical since we did not want to kill or damage landscaping. I also wasn't keen on constant lugging around bags of salt, either! My wife was very hopeful that the salt-free solution would still remove all the hard water deposits on our faucets and outdoor fountain, and I am happy to say that it has worked quite well. Within days after connecting the system, calcium deposits started disappearing, but for heavy deposits, it may take months before they fully clear up. The filtered water quality is excellent. The 1-3 bathroom option was fine for the two of us. We've never noticed any pressure-related issues. I did the installation myself, tapping into the main 1 inch supply line in the garage ceiling. You'll need to buy your own 1" FIP flex lines to connect to the tanks, most likely on-line. None of the local hardware stores stocked this item. Operation has been flawless since installation (now over 3 months). The system operates virtually maintenance free, requiring only a filter change every 6 months.
