First time at The Seasoned Carte
When I found The Seasoned Carte I was excited to find a new place where I can buy some Japanese Wagyu. Entering the store and navigating was simple enough given the narrow selection of products available. I was however pleased with the other more unique offering of seafood. I would like a broader selection of the curated meat and seafood along with a broader product offering to enhance my meal preparation and make it a truly unique fantastic culinary experience.
I ordered the A5 ribeye and the surf & turf box to prepare a fantastic meal for my daughter’s birthday. I was very happy with the cooking instructions which were provided, I had always thawed the meat at room temperature and learned from “Chef Chris” (is he real??) that this should be done in the refrigerator 24 hours ahead of cooking.
The lobster tails came out fantastic on the grill and were a favorite with the butter. I had a little more difficulty cooking the Wagyu, I smoked the meat lightly in my smoker then seared it. Clearly this cut is too thin to cook the way Americans like their meat. I would have like a thicker cut of meat, as it would be easier to cook it the way we do here. None the less it was very good, but I will do better next time.
For me I will definitely return to The Seasoned Carte, enjoyed the products and experience. Having friends at the house this weekend... maybe sooner than I thought!
