Wave Soda

I'm still in the process of checking out all of the different flavors. But my first impression is that the soda falls a little flat. (literally) I'm not sure if it was just because of the shipping process, and maybe that shaked the carbonation out a little, but each can I've had so far is a little dull. I mean it's fine, but just less tingle than I was expecting. Similarly, the sweetness level is a little less than I was imagining. Of course, that's easily solvable by adding my own sweetener. But it's just unexpected, since the brand is making a point to label itself a soda, and not... something else (like a spritzer for example). Sincerely, I don't want a fully sweetened beverage like regular soda pop, but I do like a little nip of sweetness to cut the edge off the tarts and bitters. I was hoping a small amount of allulose could be used to enhance the natural sweetness of the fruit flavors. To sum up my impression, if I had to describe the product in one phrase, I'd call it a 'slightly juicier Spindrift'. But is that enough to really set it apart from the rest of the crowd? Idk.

This is now the third order I placed with Wave Soda, two 7-flavor variety packs and a 48 pack with 12 packs of mango, grapefruit, and two orange. Their sodas could stand to be just a touch sweeter - maybe a 20/80 mix instead of 15/85. What sweetness the juice provides doesn't *quite* cover up the bitterness of the carbonation - but it's still a pretty good soda substitute that doesn't either just taste like carbonation, like sparkling waters, or use terrible artificial sweeteners. My real complaint is that the QC isn't that great. I got several flat can in each variety pack, and the entire 12-pack of grapefruit from my 48 pack was completely flat - no carbonation at all. Good idea for a product, and I may try them again in the future when I don't have to dump 1/4 of my purchase down the drain every time. Also, shipping was glacial. Took me nearly two weeks to get my order after I placed it.

Shipping wasn't an issue. The product itself however was a huge letdown.

Not a lot of flavor. I was hoping for more fruit flavor. Tastes like the other flavored seltzer I’ve tried.
