Better than gels
I ran the London Marathon at the weekend and for the first half of the race I used the mixed energy chews as an alternative to gels. These are easy to carry in shorts pockets, easy to eat and they taste really good, so make a great change to a constant supply of not so pleasant gel. Additionally, unlike a sachet of gel, you can take them spread out over time, a couple of squares every 15 minutes or so, and you can really feel the boost that they give you. Highly recommend for long runs!
