Over 50 years ago, when I had no understanding of or appreciation for fine wine, I had a half bottle of a Beaune wine while on a business visit to then trouble-torn Northern Ireland. The excellent wine in that bottle transformed my view of wine, and since then my tastes have been further developed. When I opened the first bottle of this wine I had the sudden feeling of recognition - this must have been the same - or an almost identical - wine. The memory of that first taste all those years ago came back to me, I had not expected that after such a long gap one could really remember tastes! In short then, this -to me - is a very special wine indeed; I would recommend it to anyone.
