Paxton & Whitfield’s Artisan Cheese Advent Calendar 2025 was a brilliant bit of festive indulgence. The format really works: three separate deliveries kept everything fresh and meant the full 24-day run felt like a proper journey through interesting, well-chosen cheeses rather than a “bulk box” that tails off by week two. A couple of constructive thoughts. I did miss the sense of a finale, no 25th door felt like a slightly flat finish for something that’s otherwise so premium. And while the cheeses absolutely stand on their own, I kept wondering whether it would be worth offering an optional add-on of savoury crackers and a few classic accompaniments (a chutney, quince paste, or even a small pot of honey). It wouldn’t need to be every day, but a few pairings across the month could elevate the experience and make it even more gift-ready.
