Poor delivery

Both of my orders were delivered a day late and the second time it was barely cold. I was worried about the food spoiling.

Order date and start date

Order date and start date were messed up, but customer service was great. Received two of the same meals. Cost is too high.

Not the Best Vegan Food I've Had

This rating is really a 2.5. A couple of salads had an "almost spoiled smell". Salt is needed for some of the entrees. One entree was too salty. Overall, the flavor was lacking for most of the dishes. On the positive side, the coffee sachets tasted great even without sugar.

I find the timing of

I find the timing of ordering confusing. There’s a charge date but it’s not clear when the cutoff is by which one must skip or place an order. No email goes out when shipped so I can’t tell whether that week is arriving or not until day it’ll arrive. For example, I had two orders, one from standard and one from choose your own. It looked like I mistakenly ordered them both to come on same week but couldn’t really tell. N4L suggested I sign up for UPS my choice. Really? What company doesn’t notify you when something has shipped or doesn’t list status? There should be an order cut off date and a ship date instead of paid date. The fulfilled status makes no sense unless the food is being packed 5 days early. (Friday and shipped on Tuesday) which is not the case. AND/OR my delivery status says next delivery is 8/23 but fulfill date is 8/13. So I’m not getting a delivery next week? Basically, 2 orders one placed 8/4 (auto) one placed 8/5 (choose your own). 1st one fulfilled and arrived 8/11. 2nd one fulfilled on 8/12, appears to be arriving on 8/23. Maybe it’s because I called cust service on 8/5 thinking both orders might arrive in same week and asked for help. But I don’t know, customer service never called back. Shouldn’t be this hard.

Not worth the price

I tried one week of the flexitarian meal plan. The ordering process was easy, but after that, the website is more ambiguous. It was not clear when my meals would be delivered or what meals I would receive. I emailed customer service, though, and I received a very timely response. It also looks like things are more clear after the initial week. When the meals arrived, I was impressed by the delivery and packaging. I cannot say I was impressed with the meals themselves. Everything tasted very bland, and the produce just did not taste fresh. I was not expecting each meal to look as good as the picture, but the discrepancy was significant. I was willing to pay more for chef curated meals and the convenience, but I found that I did not really want to eat the meals that arrived. There are two left over in my fridge right now that I will try to eat before the recommended freshness date tomorrow, but I honestly am only doing it so I don’t waste them by throwing them away. The taste is at a level that I wouldn’t feel good giving them away. I will go back to cooking my own meals with fresh produce, even though it takes a lot of my time. Overall, I did not find these meals worth the price, even with a coupon.
