10 gallon Conical Fermenter Unitank
Hey Spike Brewing and fellow review readers!
My third batch of home brew is fermenting away, the first batch is history and only half of batch two remains in a corny keg :) Great job putting these Unitanks together. Coming from the world of plastic bucket fermenting, this is like owning a luxury car. It's shiny, looks fast just sitting there in the garage, all my friends are jealous, etc, etc. ;) Other than my dirt bike, it's the nicest thing in my garage! No but really, to have a primary/secondary/yeast harvesting/trub dumping/wort aeration/pressure transfer/pre-carbonating all-in-one vessel is simply awesome. On legs and wheels it's easy to clean and reach into it, move it around (carefully). I plan on getting rid of all my glass carboys, hundreds of bottles and all the associated accessories. I'm all in on corny kegs now, because together with your Unitank, it's just a great system. I'm using the cornies to secondary and lager and it's just fantastic. I've been "hotpacking" the Unitank as well, works great and saves even more time on brew day.
Please go shake the hands of your welders for me, and everybody else that contributed to the design, engineering, etc. The TIG welds on this thing are impressive. I can weld, but not like that! Great weld quality, excellent finish on the tank inside and out, great valves, everything really. The quality is what makes this so great. Yes, it's not cheap. But I hate cheap. I don't buy a lot, but i don't buy cheap. I like to buy things that last and that won't be tossed into a landfill in 2 years. You get what you pay for, and this is no exception. And you put these together with American labor? Even better.
Perfect really. Affordable, American made quality products that will last a lifetime. Kudos.
