I recently got the Carnhill transformers installed in my Golden Age Pre 73, and was very excited. Upon first comparisons to spoken vocal tracks recorded with the original transformers, I didn’t hear too much difference. As I replayed both tracks back and forth for a few minutes, I noticed that both the upper end of the frequency spectrum and the lower end sounded more open and transparent. In addition to that, there was more detail overall in what was being captured. It’s subtle if you’re only listening to a spoken vocal track, but I imagine that this subtlety adds up to being not-so-subtle when you have numerous tracks layered on top of each other through this preamp. Overall, I’m very happy I did this modification, and ZenPro was extremely pleasant, fast, and communicative through the whole process. I would absolutely recommend them.

Excellent service from Warren. The call was taken 15 minutes prior to opening time which took me by (pleasant) surprise. Within minutes I had made my needs known and advised on how to fill the order form. In two days the cable arrived (Y split with very short stem and long limbs to reach my left and right subwoofers) and the performance with my Oppo customized blue-Ray player has left me breathless. Although I am not using this as a platform to knock another business, Blue Jeans Cable by contrast did not help me at all with this splitter and when I called was made to think my request was unusual. I am so glad to have found Zenpro. In future I will give them my cable and interconnect business!
