Wow! Before I sold my stock HS8W’s I wanted to insure I heard a difference between the two so i set the both up side-by-side testing a bunch of unmastered recordinngs. remarkable! The imaging is much more accurate and the low end has been totally cleaned up to provide a lot more punch. Thanks Warren for taking a superb product and maximizing it’s abilities to really deliver the goods! Couldn’t be happier!!

5 stars for value. Been using it for about a week after using a McOne Passive (non balanced) for a few years. I was completely satisfied with the Passive but after adding a 2nd set of monitors I wanted to be able to use my sub with either pair. The headphone output is also a bonus. War had Mute L/R switches to my Passive and I was considering having the Active modded as well (but decided to opt for a Little Labs Monotor for crazy good flexible headphone mix checking). It’s good to know that L/R Mutes can be added. Sound quality is as nice as the Passive. The Active is better at passing audio from underpowered sources, as expected. One minor thing, although not an issue necessarily; powering up the monitors and sub is completely quiet with the Passive whereas with the Active the sub thumps on. It’s not aloud thump but reminds me of an iffy amp I used to use with passive speakers. The sub on/off switch is great. The headphone output is powerful but is a different sound character than the Little Labs Monotor and my UFX+, so it

ZenPro's Zombie cables have been noticeably better for sound and durability than the cables I was originally using in my home studio (brand name begins with an "H"). A big improvement, well worth the money, and definitely more affordable than buying pre-packaged cables elsewhere online.
