Sheptone Pickups

I finally got my set of Sheptone Bluesky Humbuckers installed. I put them in a 2005 Epiphone Dot (335). I should add that I upgraded the wiring harness (as well) to an RSguitarworks 500K pot ES-335 harness. I should also mention that I'm using a Fender Blues jr and a Fender DeVille. First off, the presence, clarity and pop from these pickups is amazing. It would be easy to say anything would have been better than what was there, but I had a particular sound in mind. I was looking for a pickup that could deliver the warm, clean tone ES-335's are famous for. From there I knew I would be able to dial in almost anything. The Sheptone's delivered! I'm still working with (what I imagine will be) the endless sound/tone possibilities with my two different setups. Jeff's customer service was great. I had several questions prior to pulling the trigger and he was there every step of the way. Jeff was quick to respond to all my inquires.I would gladly purchase again from sheptone. If you are looking for a high quality pick up that isn't mass produced, try a sheptone. Highly recommended!!

If I bought the Sheptone AB Custom Humbucker I do not know how she really sound. The only information I had where some sound files from an bigger PAF Humbucker Review at an PAF Pickup review at an German Discussion Board. AB Custom and the Tribute from Sheptone where reviewed (and many other than that mentioned). So I try to get the Pickups within my Country, but at least I had to import direct from Josh. After an enquiry due to the Potting I order and receive the AB’s some Weeks later. I mount the Pickups to my 2017 Gibson Tribute (Updated to 50’s wiring with Vintage inspired 550KPotis) and Try a lot. I’m impressed due to the open sounding and the balance in Tone and loudness (between Neck and Bridge). That was exactly what I’m looking for. So the purchase was one of the best I do for Guitar Playing. Thanks to Josh for building that Pickups and have a good time! Regards from Germany Torsten Schluckebier

I'm not saying there aren't other pickups I wanna try...but it's the story and experience that makes Sheptone stand out for me. We collectively had an idea to try a new set and they made it happen. As long as Sheptone keep winding'em, I'm gonna keep play'em!

I've been using Sheptone pickups in my guitars for over 10 years and they always give me the tone and sound I'm looking for. WAY better than the stock PRS pickups!

This is my third set of sheptone pickups. In my opinion they are the best sounding pickups out there. I'm not a professional but I know the sound I want and Sheptone delivers. T Woods
