Very poor QC

Last updated on 5/03/2024:The replacement has been working flawlessly for 5 days; if not for the lemon I get first, this x10 is almost the best mop/vac I have ever used(4 in all). It will not run into object on the way, will not go over thick cords and cannot get out, wash mop quite frequently, and make sure edges and areas around legs of furnitures are cleaned by circling around it multiple times, better than I would do. And great CS with real person answering the call with not much wait time.Update: contacted Eufy and they were quick to have a replacement on the way. I have many Eufy products, this is the first I have problem with, and it was a rare problem too, so I was willing to take a replacement instead of refund. Will update next after the replacement.I received my X10 yesterday; never had one product die on me the very first day!It was doing mapping fine last night, so I set up a daily routine to have it clean every day. This morning I heard it was going on but coming down the stairs only to find it is sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor - with no power!I tried many time to reset the connection, delete and re add the device, still coming back with the same message, error code 5021, robovac won't move at all.Totally disappointed, may want to return it even I had called and waiting for Eufy product support to find out the problem. But my experience all these years tells me, unless they send me a new one, this one will have the same problem in the future for sure. Will update the review.

Needs some software tweaking, but does the job

This does pretty good for a robot vacuum on pet hair, I'm impressed. We have four pets, and it does get all of the hairballs and fluff running around the place. The mapping is better than I expected, and better than other robot vacuums I've had. Clean up is easy, and it's not loud unless it's washing its mop. The pathfinding is really good, it doesn't get stuck unless it's your fault and you leave something like a doggy pad out. There's a bit that needs software updates though. It regularly spills a lot of water into its tray and then gives you notifications that it is full. So you have to dump it. Not the greatest when it should just be plug and play. It's recognition of poop is also a bit overzealous, as you can see by how it thinks the fluff my puppy ripped out of her bed is poop. The most annoying thing is that I deleted a scheduled daily cleaning and yet it still runs every day so I either have to unplug it or manually go into the app and stop it. These all seem to be software issues, though, so hopefully they'll be fixed soon.

Good. Not perfect.

Eufy vacuum cleaners have proven themselves well. This one is the same. Rotating floor cloths is a big step. Now it's really wet cleaning, not what it used to be.Disadvantages:1. When wet cleaning, it leaves an untouched strip about 1.5 inches wide around the baseboard.2. It makes a lot of noise when drying floor cloths. The fan has been running for several hours. Because of this, the vacuum cleaner can no longer be based in a living area.3. Wet cleaning is not a wash. It's just to wipe the dust off. But it's not bad.

eufy X10 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop

I wanted this because most of the robot 'mops' are just a Swiffer wet head on the front, which isn't so much mopping. This has 2 moving heads that lower to the floor and turn to try and get stuff off the floor. It has a nice base unit that you can add water to and it can empty the dry and wet waste into different sections. It also is a lot smarter than my 7-plus-year-old iRobot vacuums in what it can do. The mapping feature alone in the eufy is rather nice, along with the ability to limit where it cleans. So, why not 5 stars? Well, the manual that comes with it pretty much has how to set up the base and put the vacuum in it, and then tells you to get the app. Instructions? I am betting they exist somewhere, but so far I haven't found a manual, and while in some respects you might not need one, it would be nice to have the features explained so that I can understand how to make it work the best. The mapping of the rooms went fine, and it seemed to realize what was carpet and what was not, but the cleaning for the mopping seemed weak (which could be a setting I am unsure of) and the water it used was very small. Most of the little drips of various liquids that normally come up with a simple mopping were still there after. It did do something because the dirty water was dirty, but I would be fine with it using more water to get the spots up.The main issue I have with this vacuum is the lack of instructions, if not printed, an easy-to-find link to a PDF would have been good as well, just some way to say 'this is how all this works'. It may be in the app somewhere, but while some people live on their phones, with the tiny screen, I like the big 32" monitors on my computer that I can read without reading glasses.
