Dogs love it....we do, too.
We have had this for over a year, now. The part that is inside, and run by electricity, is great. I am getting quite good at resetting this, since sometimes, I mess it up. We bought two hand held remotes (installed myself) as the inside sensor simply does not work through the thick glass door. I had installed, an outdoor battery operated sensor that worked fine, as long as the 9Volt, lithium ion 1200 mAh battery is enabled, which is VERY expensive...some $7.00 EACH. In addition, it will only run as long as it has a FULL charge. As soon as it goes below the FULL charge, it will not work, which is about a week, if you are lucky. Currently, I am trying to figure a way to make this outdoor sensor work on AC power, as I have an outdoor outlet nearby.
I understand there is a doormat with an imbedded sensor, like the ones that you stick on the wall, and can operate with your elbow, should your hands be full. I do have a video of my dogs playing with the door. If I could get your email address, I can send this to you in hopes I can get the free one should you like my video.
