Wanted it to be good,
Wanted it to be good, just disappointing. Feels a bit gimmicky for the price.
I really wanted this to be as good as their adverts on social media look but its been so temperamental since day one. I got it on a sale and a discount code but otherwise i would not have bought in hindsight.
When it arrived the ability to play media on my S21 Ultra having the haptics work and the audio play into my wireless buds worked fine, then few weeks later stopped. Now its either the vest does haptics to no sound or the buds play sound but no haptics. This is with both bluetooth setup and sharing on. So far no fix for this from Woojer despite it working before.
The other methods of connection are also temperamental. The USB A to USB C on vest (as PS4 can output audio... i know how ridiculous in this day and age) this has lag in action/voice to sound. As you have to connect your headphones to the vest via jack. The haptics feel poor here too.
PS4 controller via jack to the vest and then jack to headphones seems the best, you get the strongest haptic sensations very well but again little lag is visible.
I saw on youtube some use a Creative BT3 Low latency Bluetooth adaptor but alass this is also lagging and the haptics were poor.
Woojer believe this could be a faulty control unit so they sent me a new one with a video and screwdriver to swap over. It was a bit fiddly. and my current control unit looked like someone had glued it in instead of used the clips.
Despite this the bluetooth to buds STILL does not work. I am yet to retry the other 3 methods of use i have available as described above and will report back - i am also going to review on social media soon.
Currently being sent back for investigation. TBC
