I really wanted to LOVE this product, as my wife has moderate Alzheimers and a large format clock with spoken reminders is an ideal solution. There are a number of great features that we are finding useful : - Large bright screen easy to view - Colourful fonts that contrast nicely - No more forgetting with the pre set alarms However, there are also some features that I think are worth exploring to improve the product, and I hope you take these on with the intention of making an even better product if you feel they are worthwhile : - It would be great to have a hook or velcro tab on the back of the clock to attach the remote control as it could easily get lost or seperated - A major bug bear is that the clock has to be plugged into a power socket to operate - why is it not an option to be battery operated with a power charger like your mobile phone as well as wall socket powered ? What happens if the mains power fails (in a storm for example). Then the clock is not usable until mains power is restored - The automatic dimming feature does NOT work from 7.00 pm to 6.59 am as described in the instruction manual. I have set the screen brightness to the "Auto" setting, but the clock remains at the brightest setting all night (level 5) and does not dim automatically to lowest (level 1) at 7 pm unless I manually dim, This then results in my wife turning the clock face over so the light doesn't disturb her sleep - Whilst I get that there are "free" included accessories I find it hard to believe they are worth $100 !! I realise that includes postage, but no postal anywhere in Australia for an item that size / weight would even come close to pushing the "value" that high. As far as the other items I am certain I could purchase these at Office Works for about $5, so the $100 worth of "free" accessories, including postage is worth maybe $20 tops !! - With the accessories they are not even really practical apart from the medication magnetic sign...i.e. the second included sign for the identification and information is NOT magnetic, the paper wallet / purse card is good, but what purpose does the 10 clear double sided stickers and the blue ribbon in the box serve ? - I am all for the idea of included accessories, but don't put an arbitrary value on them that far exceeds what the value truly is - you would be better off just saying "Free accessories included" As I said, want to LOVE this product, but its a "so-so" review from me, but happy for you to contact me personally for more clarity if required

The phone was purchased for my mother who is in her nineties, she is struggling to use it, as the user manual is brief and not designed for “seniors”. She has had a Nokia and another simple phone which had easy to follow instructions. Simply Big needs to redo their user manual, with step by step instructions.

The product was shipped very quickly after I ordered it and arrived in perfect condition. I bought this clock as I thought it would be a good tool to help my elderly father remember to take his twice daily medication. Pros: Nice clear and bright display. Nice size. Good variety of reminders options. Easy to read instructions. Very loud alarm. Cons: Although the written instructions were very easy to follow, actually getting the clock set up proved quite challenging as the buttons themselves are not easy to use. They are located on the rear of the clock and are not well spaced so you cannot tell what you are pressing and you have to also have to keep turning the clock over to see the front to make sure that the input is correct. The only instruction which was not good was the one which said that to turn off an alarm, press any button on the back. However, the back is also where the on/off switch is and it is not a great idea to cancel the alarm by turning the clock off!!!!! The clock itself seems very cheaply made. Quite expensive for the physical quality of the product. Would I but this again? Maybe. Hopefully it serves the purpose it is made for. But not sure if the quality is worth the price.
