Great Camera - be sure to buy the fuse taps
Purchased the DR900X-2CH and I am very happy with it. I am even happier with the elimination of the Power Magic Pro for battery monitoring. The Blackvue manual is easy to read and understand when setting up the cloud connection and watching the dashcam live on your cell phone is cool. But you need a car hotspot or LTE connector to make that work. The feature notifies you when the battery is low or if there is an event (parking lot bump or door ding shaking the car) is amazing .
I shipped by USPS mail and it came within a few days. Much better than Fedex in this area. Those guys are a joke and often place your package at the garage door so you can run over it. But I was a bit surprised USPS placed an expensive item in the mailbox and left. So far, mailbox theft is not an issue in my neighborhood so consider than when selecting shipping.
I like that options required to install are listed vertically below the camera selection on the website. It would be better if the requirement to direct wire/use fuse taps for the park feature was defined quickly here or a link to the park mode FAQ's. I consider the park feature the most important aspect of the dashcam. I already knew that from my first dashcam purchase but it isn't completely explained until you review the installation tab or visit the FAQs page. On my first purchase, I ordered the fuse taps later when I realized the connection with the park feature.
Install took about 3 hours with fishing the back camera wire and running the direct wire through the firewall to access the fuse box (fuse box in the engine compartment) taking the most time. Pulling molding inside your car a little scary at first but it is rather easy with plastic pry tools. One comes with the camera but you can get a cheap set of 4 at Harbor Freight There are lots of video's on You Tube explaining dashcam installations.
