I purchased this telescope for my 11yr old son who is obsessed with anything space related but had never owned his own. I was relieved and happy to receive a very nice, well made product that my son was able to assemble and with a little help go out and see the moon up close the same night. I am hoping the use of this telescope can grow as he learns more astronomy down the road. I consider it worth every penny.

I purchased a new 102 doublet, when it arrived the dew shield was broken and one of the threads on the finder scope bracket was wrong, not allowing the adjustment screw to seat properly. One call to Explore Scientific and a new scope was sent out along with a label to return the defect product. The new scope arrived in a few days and I'm very happy.

Amidst all the health concerns going on, doing some star gazing in the middle of the day is a quick reprieve. This filter is fantastic. I would recommend letting the filter and telescope adjust to the direct sunlight. Once that’s been done, the image is staggering. This filter is definitely worth every penny.
