Clumsy Storefront, great product.
Shipping was fast and could be easily tracked. Shipping time was good too.
Ordering was ok, but quite confusing.
First of all, there are different shops for different regions, which makes sense but could be made more obvious.
Shopping for and comparing products was pretty average, some parts of the website (e. g. the big comparison chart) weren't up to date and they sometimes used different ways to decscribe the same thing (e. g. how the portable routers are charged). This made finding actual differences rather difficult.
After finding a product, you need to put it in a basket. Unfortunately, somebody decided that bulk ordering is something the average customer will do and not only created various predefined order quantities, but also explicit instructions. This experience could be improved by asking for personal/business use in the account creation screen or simply showing the discount after entering the quantity. As is, it just takes up space.
The checkout screen is just, . . . it leaves a LOT of room for improvement:
1. Tax exemption: No mention what it does or who it applies to and doesn't work.
2. Wonky Prices: Price of individual items and the sum do not agree sometimes (!), since discounts aren't accounted for properly (sometimes). Also, the currency occasionally switch units, sometimes multiple items, sometimes the sum, etc. NOT GREAT if you want to apply a discount and the price ends up higher.
3. Discounts: There is a student discount program and bundle deals, but whether they stack or not is quietly left out. Since big sites like Lenovo allow stacking of discounts, this would be good to know before going through the process of registering as a student.
The actual products are pretty nice. I got the Slate 7 & Flint 3 Combo deal and am pretty happy. Features are extensive, some (like Multi-WAN) quite unique, while still being based on OpenWRT for easy modifications. Some minor annoyances exist, like GoodCloud (Remote Managment Solution) not detecting the router as being online or the inability to poweroff the screen of the Slate 7 manually.
In terms of service: They do have a forum and are semiactive there. Sometimes they answer questions, sometimes not. I can't say whether they contact individuals for problem solving or whether they prefer direct communications, but that was my impression.
Overall: Would order again.
