The stand is nice and sturdy and can be adjusted with ease. All the pieces are strong and durable. The phone holder has double holes so you can put your phone in the upright or sideways position. The cord is nice and long. I have not used the remote yet, but you can purchase these at any electronics place, so don't let your purchase decision be on this one addition. My only mistake, I should have purchased the larger ring. My next purchase for this light will be 18' because I like more space on the inner part. I'd give more stars if I could!!!
