I signed up for a special trial, where the first month was $1. I selected a handful of pedals I was interested in purchasing but was excited to try before buying, and received my first one about a week later. Tried it out, liked it, and sent it back expecting my second pedal. I received an email stating they "recommend" I add more pedals to my list. However, I already added the ones I was interested in. I didn't want to just add pedals, knowing that with my luck I'd get the ones I didn't really want instead of the ones that I did. After over a week, I contacted support to find out where my other pedal was. I was sent another email "recommending" that I add extra pedals. When I explained to them that I already had pedals on there, and didn't want to add more, I was told the system doesn't ship any out unless you have a certain amount. Mind you, on their website and in the emails, the arbitrary number is listed as a "suggestion". Well, by suggestion they mean it's mandatory. And now my trial was almost up. They shipped me one more pedal, which I quickly tried out, sent back, and cancelled my subscription. Their snarky "customer service" rep congratulated me on getting 2 pedals for dollar. It seemed like a valuable service, and I gladly would have continued if they were more transparent about the actual requirements for renting from them, and if their CS agent wasn't a total dick.
