Pedal Genie

Too expensive. Used pedal sales are way too overpriced

Although I did get to try a few cool pedals, I never got the pedals high on my priority list that I actually subscribed for.

PedalGenie has some good stuff, but there are some big drawbacks. It's not like Netflix—you can't predict which pedals from your list you'll get and when. Also some of them require brand-specific adapters with weird voltages—adapters are never included and if you don't have one that matches, you're out of luck. In addition sometimes the pedals arrive broken.

I was using Pedal Genie to audition new pedals, so for me, a quick turnaround was my main goal. Unfortunately, the usual turnaround from Pedal Genie was quite slow. I love the selection, but it wasn't cost effective for me.

Every pedal I wanted to try was rented out. Even the less popular ones.
