This is a great thermometer and cooking system. I’ve been grilling and Bbq-ing for 50 years, and this system is really the best. It is also packaged in a neat and functional bamboo case as nifty as any Apple product.

Got the probe off center a bit in this cook but still managed to pull off a good steak. Perfectly cooked medium rare

The device works well - surprising quality for a Kickstarter project. Well executed. Haven’t had issues and my steaks are all well cooked.
