Nikon Z 105mm f/2.8 VR S Macro

Really liked the lens and the way in which it was shipped. FedEx delayed the shipment by a day which cost me two day of the rental due to logistics issues but was able to get a credit for the missed two days but was disappointed to miss using the lens at a particular location. Otherwise really liked using the lens and was a good way to try it and evaluate it before potential purchase. The portraits it generated of my daughter are top notch while I struggled a bit with getting good macros but that’s on me, the user, and not the lens as I’m not experienced shooting macro but would like to develop the skill. Super impressed with the sharpness of the lens.

It was ok, it was my first time with a Macro lens. This will not work well for fast action or even portraits in my opinion. I often preferred to manual focus instead of using the auto-focus, which is not a big deal for toy photography. I ended up purchasing a used Sigma 17-70 on E-bay for my macro photography needs. It just was a better fit for what I was using it for. That being said, it is still a great lens.
