Daily, I use the hi98129
Daily, I use the hi98129 pH, HI98319 Salinity, and the hanna Checktemp meters. These things are rock solid, rarely require recalibration, and in my opinion, very reliable.
At least Daily I use 4 Hanna CHECKERS, the ultralow Phosphate, low range Nitrate, Alkalinity, and pH checkers. These colorimeters are AWESOME. Done carefully, I am able to compete these four tests in 7 minutes (the time it takes for the Nitrate sample), all digital colorimeter readings are reliable except for pH. My Hanna pH checker, HI780 is precisely inaccurate reading ~0.2 higher pH than I get with visual and the calibrated HI98129. I can use 4 drops instead of 5 as some have suggested on the internet and get closer to the true pH. However I would prefer not to have to do this 'kentucky windage' I have also read several online reviews that indicate others have the same innaccuracy issues with the pH checker HI780. Other than the HI7870, I have been very pleased with hanna instruments.
