I was intimidated at the thought of learning new software for a new machine. But all of that was quickly put to rest on my first set up. I have been able to easily bring ideas to life that I thought I would have to contract out. It has taken me from a hobbyist to a business owner. Thank you for creating such a great machine!

I've used a number of laser cutters in the past, but the Glowforge is by far the easiest to set up and use. Unlike other machines which require installing obscure and barely-supported drivers, the Glowforge web app makes it incredibly easy to import and lay out graphics, modify settings, and get great results. From the time I plugged in the machine until I had completed my first print was maybe 15 minutes. I only have a couple of things on my wish list for this already fantastic machine. The web app has a lot of capabilities that are not always easy to discover, such as selecting, resizing, and moving individual layers of your design. A bit more work on making this UI more intuitive would help a lot. Second, my machine has problems with the lid camera focus which are not apparently easy to address (there's no way to change the focus of the built-in camera). And finally, I purchased the compact filter not realizing that it would be incredibly loud (like a very loud vacuum cleaner) to run -- had I know this up front I might have reconsidered my filtering options. But all this said, the product is on the whole incredibly well designed, polished, and a great purchase. I am very happy to be a Glowforge owner.

A fun item to own, who knew there would be endless of possibilities with this Glowforge!

I just recently started looking into laser cutter/engravers and was looking at the $500 range. I really wanted a glowforge but it was out of my price range. My husband surprised me and bought it for me. I'm so glad he did. I cannot believe the quality of the items I have been creating. I can't wait to get home and make something else with my glowforge.
