Despite an error by customer service, Focus Camera ultimately stood by its product as advertised to me.
I ordered a Slingbox 500 which was advertised as including a Fire TV Stick. I confirmed this through an online chat with a customer service rep before completing my purchase. However, I did not receive the Fire Stick with my Slingbox. When I contacted customer service over the phone about this I was referred to an email address. Through email contact, I was informed that the rep who told me that the Fire Stick was included with the Slingbox had made a mistake. Also, I had issues receiving emails from this customer service email account. Replies received from this account did not appear until I sent a follow up email thinking that my inquiry had not been answered yet. Then three responses that had been sent previously by customer service to my email address appeared in my inbox. Ultimately, customer service made the situation right and stood by the incorrect information provided to me by the online rep. I was sent an Amazon Fire Stick and it works very well with my Slingbox 500, sparing me from needing my iPad in order to use Slingplayer on Roku. Having received my Fire Stick, I am incredibly satisfied with my purchase and my customer service experience.
