I have 3 of these, and while they are expensive and I could have bought a whole new switch for the same price, it is convient to add an additional Ethernet port if you need it. I have mine installed in an ubiquity edgerouter 4 and an ubiquity poe switch. No issues with them. On the switch they get pretty toasty; not sure if they are acting as a heat sink or if that is the nature of these ports.
