I recently replaced my copper wired phone and internet connections with a fiber optic system. The buried copper drop went down my driveway to the telco splice ped. I removed the buried drop from the telco splice ped and used this to extend the drop to my mailbox. I put a switch on the lid that turns on a buzzer back in the house. Now I know when the mail box has been messed with or the mail is passed. This will fix the problem I had last summer and fall when the crops were growing and I could no longer see the mailbox flag the tells me when the mail has passed.
