My initial headset had many
My initial headset had many different, very noticeable, high pitch tones at times where no audio would be played. It would persist though all situations with and without side tone enabled. I contacted support and was sent out and received a new headset. The time from sending my unit out to receiving the new one was three weeks due to long processing times from Audeze as well ground shipping being used both ways (despite advertising 2 day shipping). The support communication was slow overall despite my timely responses. Upon receiving my new headset, I was faced with the same all be it less noticeable high patch tones. I found that if you use the side tone feature turned all the way down it mostly removes the tones. However, this still feels like a compromised product and I would wait until further updates are made to the drivers control to reduce the unintended noise
As for the headset the noise floor is quite high leading to a quite noticeable white noise effect when no audio is being played. There is much less white noise on my other BT headsets as compared to the Maxwell 2. The audio quality and sound stage is very impressive when audio is playing. The microphone quality is good with multiple versions of background noise filtering that seems to handle most situations. However, the draw backs mentioned above make it a tough one to recommend.
