Disappointed

Being in the security industry I've had customers ask me to suggest items like this. I received an email claiming shipping would be free if I purchased this camera and sent back my transaction number. I did just that. I then received a vague email saying that the offer was only available in the US and the cameras had already been shipped, which was never stated in the email I received. I then had to send the cameras back and wait almost 2 months to receive a full refund. Too bad because I never got to try out this product to be able to recommend it to my customers. I was really disappointed in the sales tactics this company used to get 50.00 UD to ship to Canada when their email stated free shipping. In the end it seems to be their loss. Doorbell Chime: Not useful

Doorbell Chime: With all the setting at recommend levels, the Image is too dark. I also get every large truck that drives by. There is no live feed from the camera. Previous images are now blurred out. So I am trying to return this useless product. (So many option to buy more of their products)

DO NOT BUY FROM KANGAROO!

Please do not waste your time and money with Kangaroo Security. I have invested quite a bit of money in outfitting my home with their devices, motion sensors, door & window sensors, water & climate sensors, privacy camera, and doorbell cameras. Since setting up their system I have had issue after issue with their products. I have had several door and motion sensors fail to stay connected, give false alarms, fail to arm properly because even when the door or window is closed the app still views them as open. I have gone through FOUR replacement doorbell cameras and finally had to fight with support to receive a refund for them. They would lose their connection then when I would attempt to re-pair them to my wireless router the devices would not reset properly. They would blink until I lifted my finger from the reset button and then the device would die until I held the reset button down again. I tried holding the reset button throughout the pairing process and the device would reach a halfway point before it would reset again. I finally gave up after having FOUR replacement devices all encounter the same product failure. I had to replace THREE privacy cameras due to similar pairing issues. I have had THREE water & climate sensors fail as well. I have checked several potential causes outside of the scope of Kangaroo’s products such as my router, my ISP, etc. I am running gigabit Internet on a top of the line WiFi router. I have no issues with other devices On my WiFi, these problems are all due to shoddy craftsmanship and lack of quality in Kangaroo’s product lines. This is not the biggest issue. The bigger issue is that I was double charged a renewal for their monitoring service, when I flagged the second renewal charge as fraudulent I received a voicemail and email from their accounting department asking me to reverse the disputed charge. I tried to schedule a call back between them and myself and even tried calling the support line to speak with them. None of which resulted in me being able to reach them. If you value your time, your money, and your home’s security, then DO NOT BUY KANGAROO PRODUCTS OR SERVICES! Spend a little extra money and get a reliable company with reliable, quality products and support. Again, I reiterate DO NOT BUY FROM KANGAROO!

Took more than a month for my purchase to be shipped

The support team was great, but it took more than a month for my purchase to be shipped. Really frustrating experience.
