nice but an app for Linux is missing

Very nice tool, it does not completely replace paper but it allows me to use less of it. I like the quick sheets and the possibility to make annotations to articles or to my own work in pdf format. What is missing is an app for file tranfer from Linux devices. To transfer a file from my Linux computer, I have to send it by email to my Android phone, where I send it to the reMarkable with the app for Android, this is cumbersome.

Cut-Copy-Paste

Let me say that this device is all that it is advertised. I really like the feel and functionality. One item I wish it had was a cut or copy / paste function. There are times I have written specifics on a page and then several pages later realize that information would be better later in the write up. Otherwise I like the product and enjoy using it.

Remarkable

I recently bought the Remarkable, after having watched it for months. Given its price, I took some time to consider whether or not to purchase, but in the end I noticed myself continuously returning to the website; reading reviews, so I made the step to go for it. And yes: it certainly is a cool & spiffy thing to have. The writing experience is unequalled, when comparing to any other digital device (eReader; iPad, PC with touch screen; and so on). And on top of that, it's cool to have: ;) People notice it, and it certainly attracks attention. Having only one device to keep notes, rather than paper notebooks, scribbles on a piece of paper and loose notes somewhere on my laptop/inbox, makes it easier to organise. Especially, because of the synching features between Remarkable, PC and even smartphone via the app. The OCR feature is very promising (though I need to work on my writing skills, see below) and the versatility of pens, brushes, pencils is very usefull. Also being able to zoom in for details and wipe out / move pieces of text/drawings makes it even better to use than the old-fashioned pen&paper. Improvement points are (yes, still) the writing experience: especially for me as a left-hand writer, it takes some exercise to get adjusted to writing properly on the Remarkable (such that you can actually read it back afterwards ;-)) and the speed of writing is just a little slower than with pen & paper: maybe because of screen lag or the sensitivity of the marker; losing some details when you're too quick. Furthermore the writer tip seems to wear down pretty quickly; maybe it has to do with my left-handyness? As a new feature, I would recommend adding a sheet of "infinity paper", which allows you to write & draw on an infinite canvas, rather than having to flip to a new page when the current one if full. Maybe it's already there, but I haven't found it yet; else I certainly recommend to add this to a (near-)future release. All in all very happy with the Remarkable: it just seems the right thing to use anno 2019!

Folio

Good to protect, but a "flap type" cover would be easier to use and to open it as a (note)book.

reMarkable

Excellent digital note book. It does what I expected. A little bit disappointed about the battery performance, but work around, keep an adapter nearby if you use the notebook intensively.
