The paper feeling- nice!

The paper feeling is very close to reality. The screen has a good contrast and the eyes do not get tired. The folder structure is not as intuitive as I would like.

Love it!! .... BUT

This is exactly what I needed to replace my long hand notebooks, where it's impossible to find details. I can look at all the pages at once and figure out which one I'm looking for. Down side? It's a PITA to erase! I wish the pen had an erase feature or an always on top button. Going into the menu, clicking the eraser, closing the menu so you can erase underneath it. Opening the menu again, to switch from eraser back to pen and then closing the menu again. UGH!! Also, no cut-and-paste, REALLY sucks!

Almost perfect!

Firstly, I am an avid mind-mapper and flow diagram creator. I have so many A4 notebooks full of stuff! So the intention was to have an electronic version of what I am used to. Functionally, the reMarkable did what I needed it to except for ONE thing!!! Avid note takers take notes in Portrait mode. Notebooks are portrait mode. This means for the reMarkable that you accidentally hit the buttons at the bottom...Landscape mode alleviates this but is un-natural. They either need to put the buttons up the TOP or have a rotate screen option to stay in portrait mode... The BIGGEST issue was the lack of instructions. I had to learn how to use it from YouTube and personal experience. All in all I LOVE it! If those two issues were alleviated it would be 5 stars.

Nice reading/writing; lack of speed

Dear Remarkable Team, I really like your device and the writing experience is outstanding. The speed of the device is acceptable if one reads (e.g. a PDF) page by page. However, if one really work through a PDF (in my case, research papers or text books) you may want to go back and fourth between different pages, say between page 1 and 16. If you use the menu, it works but it is annoying while working. If you use the buttons at the bottom and hit them a couple times, it can easily happen that it takes the device 15 up to 30 seconds to load the page. I think this is because the device starts to load the previous page immediately after I hit the back button. If instead the software would recognize that the user hits the button multiple times and targets only the final page accordingly, it should be much faster. I hope that this will be implemented at some point. Further, an option to export entire folders to a zip archive and all included documents into pdf would be very very handy!
