Best thing since sliced paper!

When I purchased a refurbished model, I did so because I thought the new model was too expensive for what it is. But now I think even the new models are a good deal! I use this for everything, from reading and taking notes for class, to writing and drawing. I've already nearly worn out my first nib from all the writing I've done over just the last few weeks. If you're still on the fence, this thing is definitely worth it. My kid's hopeful they will release a color version for artists soon.

Excellent investment

Superb device for a paper lover like myself. Instead of all the piles of unused and barely started notebooks, I can keep everything in one place. Okay so pros and cons. Pros: Digital Paper notebook to keep all your pages in one place. Great for drawing, keeping logs, finances, etc. Feels nice to write on. It's the size of a notebook and it's not heavy. The possibilities are only limited to your imagination up to 100,000 pages. Also, there are updates that make the reMarkable experience even better each time. Cons: I was expecting battery life to last around 2 weeks (for some reason I was under that impression), but it lasts a few days (3-5) . It helps to turn the wifi off and airplane mode on. Also, the tips of the pen wear through for me about every 2-3 weeks. It can definitely last longer depending on use. I occasionally draw so I wear them down a bit faster. The tips aren't expensive though. I believe they are $12 for 8 tips. Last, it's pricy, but consider it an investment. Using this tablet instead of paper helps save paper which saves trees which gives people more oxygen which helps people create things like the reMarkable. Overall, I consider this a good investment. A cell phone costs $600 plus and people buy them all the time. This device should honestly be in schools (think high school and college), offices, and anywhere paper is found (as much as possible). It's convenient, easy to use, helps keep things organized, and the updates are wonderful "upgrades" if you will.

Remarkably useful and distraction free.

Latency is excellent, lag is undetectable unless you tie the pen to a whip. Pen choice are good, although the icons are a bit vague. Device build quality is good, the buttons blend in but I would prefer a bit more contrast. The included pen feels light, and it would be great if it had an eraser function. Bottom line it it works incredibly well and is perfect for note taking, sketching, journaling, medical documentation, reading e books. This is my second device because I lost the first at an airport. So I bought a refurbished replacement and it looked like it was brand new. Maybe I got a new one by mistake?

Replaced piles of notebooks.

As a graphic designer I've always had heaps of paper tablets, writing pads, sketch pads and sticky notes scattered around my desk. All of it was replaced with the reMarkable tablet... and when my coworkers saw it, they got one too. I've wanted, and needed, exactly this. Thank you.
