I've had my Mill for a few years (I have the 1st gen bin) and it's without a doubt the best decision I made for my kitchen. It feels so satisfying to put my food waste to good use & it has significantly minimized my need to take out trash. My contribution to landfills are kept to a minimum and Mill is the #1 reason for that. No smells; looks beautiful; very functional and easy to use before, during, and after meals. I can't speak for the newest bin, but if sustainability and food waste is on top of mind, this is a 100% high recommend.
