Skyroam - OLD

We were in Wilmington, VT where I needed to use the Skyroam - it is a decently populated city. Unfortunately, the skyroam signal and wifi speed were so bad that it was unusable for work. I was hoping to buy one if the rental worked even reasonably well - this was just completely unusable

It sucked

We took the Solis Hotspot to northern Minnesota, where I get very good cell signal on AT&T (four bars). Unfortunately, the Solis regularly gave us only 3 -4 mbps on our devices, no matter which device I chose. It was worthless for streaming a Zoom meeting on even one device, let alone the ten that you're supposed to be able to connect.

I returned my product immediately because you shipped it too late so I didn't even get to use it on my trip. Very disappointing.

My skyroam device was delivered late, and we had already left for our trip abroad. Skyroam customer service was terrible, it was impossible to get a response via e-mail or connect to a real agent on the phone. When I was able to talk to a representative, they continued to say they were "escalating" issue with no resolve. There was no empathy for our given situation and we were left without a wifi device for our 20 day trip. It also took multiple attempts for me to get a refund for the device. Horrible customer service. I will never recommend Skyroam to anyone. I am extremely disappointed in this experience with Skyroam. I do not understand why any travel blogs recommend Skyroam.
