This company will change your life
How was my experience at Strideline? Where do I even begin?
My experience at Strideline was the most formative experience of my life. It is hard to call it a single experience; it was a million experiences. Six years of constant education, hard knocks, real life.
As a freshman at UW I missed parties to work the Strideline booth at South Center mall. As a junior I skipped most my classes to design custom socks. As a senior I paid freshmen to take my classes so that I could be a full time salesman.
In lieu of a formal college education I spent my time learning how businesses grow, how people interact with each other, and how big decisions get made.
More specifically, I learned real life skills like how to email effectively, how to gather and interpret data, and how to conduct myself professionally and authentically.
After graduating from the UW, I moved across the country and traveled across the world to spread the SL gospel. I have flown over both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans on sock-related missions. I have been to at least a dozen states in the US that I would never have visited if not for my job with Strideline.
Since moving on from SL I have found that many of the skills and experiences that help distinguish me at my new job and in new relationships are skills that I began honing at Strideline - skills which I may have otherwise never picked up; experiences I otherwise never would have had.
To this day I admire and cherish the people I met and friends I made at Strideline. I am forever grateful.
What other sock company can do that?
