I have to admit that when the Wings rolled out this Centennial sweater, I was less than thrilled. Then I got to looking at the detailed pictures more closely and saw a glimmer of hope, so I took a chance on one. Once you actually get one in hand, they're pretty sharp - a lot of white. The silver is a nice touch. They used silver on the NHL 2000 patches, and the use of silver on this sweater is very thoughtful, both on the crest and on the sleeve as a fourth stripe. Tough to appreciate the silver stripe and the championship years until you're eyes-on. Brilliant touch. I added both the Howe No. 9 and Farewell to the Joe patches, and it really sets it off on my Abby No. 8 w/ "A". This is the 98th sweater in my collection, and it is very nice looking. Fits true to size. The grey background on the numbers really sets off the red very nicely. I know I've bought at least a dozen or so sweaters from Detroit Athletic Co. over the past seven years - shop with confidence, friends.

We live in Montana and my husband was born and raised in Detroit. Needless to say we can't buy Red Wings stuff here. I ordered the hat online on Black Friday, and it arrived on Monday!! That's even faster than Amazon!! The hat is a gift and I know he will love it!!
