My podiatrist recommended your brand Apex (or Aetrex) for my neuroma, hammertoes and bare-boned (no cushion tissue) ball of foot. There is at least 1-1/2-2 inches of shock protection. I wear a custom orthotic and I am good to go. There is a wide toe box and my toes are comfortably spaced. I have no foot pain.
