Now loving cotton instead of wool
I like natural fibers against my skin instead of synthetics. Years ago I loved your wool compression sox, but either the nylon content or the knit of the merino wool sox I bought a few months ago to replace some worn out old ones seems to have changed and they no longer fit my wide (D or E width) feet. There seems to be more nylon than before, or a change in the former looseness of the toe box which now causes the sock toe box to keep creeping back and putting extreme pressure on my feet and toes so they hurt. I’d have to keep removing my shoes to yank the toe of the merino sox straight out to remove the pressure. Really disappointing since I love wearing wool winter and summer as it wicks moisture well and stays comfortable. I have now bought several new pairs of cotton sox after reading they have a lower percentage of nylon to cotton and am testing them out. With the lower percentage of nylon mixed in with your cotton knit than in your merino knit, I am finding that cotton sox do not constrict my foot sideways and pull back against my toes. This is a huge relief! I like having more colorful options with cotton than there were with merino wool. I will keep hoping that in the future I will be able to wear your merino wool again if you make them for wide feet, but in the meantime, the cotton is working well.
