I wanted to give it
I wanted to give it a few weeks before doing a review. This will be the first time wearing a real corset. I have only done costume corsets (but not with real boning, etc. The "fake" kind LOL)
I took my time and I believe the corset is now seasoned. I wore it 30 minutes and then slowly increased to wear it about 4 hours a day for a few times a week. I can tell it fits much better against my body and lacing has become a lot easier with practice. (I'm a bottom to top corset wearer. I find that way easier.)
I bought the corset mostly to help my posture especially when I work from home at my desk. I tend to slouch a lot. I also want to see what a more structured garment would do for me as well. And if my waist is a little smaller, that's great. But I don't tight lace.
That said, I'm obviously not an expert on corsets and I have nothing to compare it to in my experience. From what I can tell, I think the corset was well made. The seams seem very sturdy and no issues with the clasps or anything. The only small complaint that I would have is the knot on the laces shifted and it was a pain working it back to where I can tighten the corset without it getting stuck somewhere. (I found moving it up to the loops worked better to stop it from moving while trying to lace myself.)
After it seasoned, I will say that I don't really notice it unless I go to bend over for something I dropped. I guess I'll get my squats in but I find that it's good that I can go about doing something without knowing it's there. (Kind of reminds of how a bra should be. If you are uncomfortable you have the wrong size or make for your body and you need a new one.)
I'm going to see how this goes for a few months, then I might invest in another one. I got this one where it should keep the gap in the back. I might get one that can fully close. We shall see.
Overall (and so far), I'm happy with the purchase.
