Recycled Firefighter

I have been seeking a new small backpack and came across the Recycled Firefighter 12 hour and it seemed to fit most of my needs. I received the bag and I’m very impressed with the build quality. I doubt I’ll have any issues with the bag long term. Which is great. The bag itself has some decent organization built in, though there are a few areas that could improve. Or at least make it a bit more useful to me. Such as, the slot pockets in the outer zippered pouch are very deep, so it can be hard to get small items out. It could also use an internal key ring option. But what really helped my situation is the addition of the Velcro back panel and the zippered pouches. These allow me to customize the bag more specifically to what I carry. There are a ton of pouches and accessories that work with the Velcro so that really helps. As I dial in the accessories I will buy the appropriate pouches to streamline my use. As far as other changes I’d make it would be great if the Velcro panel actually fastened into the bag in some way. And the addition of a laptop sleeve to the 12 hour bag would welcomed. Lastly a small zippered easy access pocket for small items would be cool too. But again, I can make something work internally, it just requires opening the bag to get to it which isn’t ideal. Overall I’m VERY pleased with the bag and expect it to be with me for years to come.
