Quality and Customer Service
Quoddy really pays attention to their customers' needs. They have stretched shoes for me three times (due to my incredibly wide feet) without charging me an extra dime. Elizabeth in customer care (or whatever they call it) has probably spent an hour on the phone with me, over the course of several calls, answering my questions, sending me samples of their leather, etc. and has never hinted that I was testing the limits of her patience. But in the end, what really matters is the quality of their shoes. They have the type of quality that only comes from a small family owned company employing skilled artisans. A year ago I had heard of them, but hadn't bought their shoes, because I tend to be cheap. I have now bought four pair and I gave another as a Christmas gift (to rave reviews).
