I typically wear size 9D in Red Wings wearing double socks. Brannock size 8. 5 wide. I ordered 8. 5 in the Brady Cap Toe and found them true to size. Very roomy toe box and even more around the ankle with single pair of socks. I have to really lace these puppies up tight. I think I ordered the right size as I think an 8 would have been too short in length and my toes would feel bunched up. I would order true to size. Not a narrow shoe at all even though the toe box looks narrow like a dress shoe.
