Probably more of a 4.5 stars. This is a nice, sleek backpack. Inside has a zipper mesh that holds a standard (good size) size laptop and the mesh holder works great to secure it inside for when opening the back. Good separate iPad holder. Given the compact interior - enough space for essentials, a legal size file folders I have for work - is a bit of a challenge to get water bottle in there. .... Thus I have to use the side bottle holder, but doesn't hold my taller one, and can fall out - my mini umbrella, can fall out - a slightly higher hold on this side pouch is my only notable suggestion to allow for taller water bottles (as is, I have to take my shorter one so not quite as effective overall though, VERY happy with the bag so far.
