Generally very pleased with the Will’s Vegan hiking boots I ordered: comfortable, light and the style of boot I was looking for in the colour I wanted (dark brown - not available in many places). Also a terrific price. These boots seem well made, sturdy and have Vibram soles with multi-directional lugs - great for muddy, wet and slippery conditions. Also a very good fit. I was pleased that the box they came in was made from unbleached card but - big caveat - I do wish more vegan boots and shoes were available in natural rather than petrochemical-based materials. I see some larger footwear brands are starting to use more natural rubber and organic materials and hope smaller, vegan, manufacturers follow suit. If I hadn’t needed a supportive, lightweight boot specifically for hiking I wouldn’t have bought these because of their synthetic content. As it is, I’ll be aiming to make sure they last a long time by only wearing them for their intended purpose and not as a general leisure boot around the city. If they were made of natural materials they’re so comfortable I’d probably never take them off.
